Valentine’s Day Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies

Soft and chewy peanut butter cookies filled with Valentine’s day themed sprinkles, and topped with chocolate kisses. These classic peanut butter cookies are just like a classic blossom cookie with a chocolate kiss on top of each cookie, but with a fun Valentine’s day twist. Everyone will love these delicious soft and chewy cookies for a Valentine’s day themed party.

The cookie dough is made like a classic peanut butter cookie dough, then Valentine’s day themed sprinkles are folded into the cookie dough. Roll the dough into balls, and place them onto a large ungreased baking sheet. Bake until the cookies are fully cooked through. Place one chocolate kiss on top of each cookie, and let cool completely on a cooling rack before serving.

Valentine's Day Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Valentine's day themed sprinkles
  • chocolate kisses

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, combine butter with peanut butter, and both granulated and brown sugar until fluffy.
  • Add in the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth. Add in the flour mixture, and mix until it is fully combined. Fold in the sprinkles.
  • Roll the cookie dough into balls, and place them onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Remove from the oven, and place one chocolate kiss on each cookie.
