Chocolate and caramel sandwiched together between two salty pretzels are a quick and easy candy that you can enjoy anytime. These tasty candies are great to make with kids because they are so easy and simple to make. They are chewy with caramel and chocolate sandwiched between two pretzels and then dipped into melted chocolate. You can make these pretzels themed for any holiday, but sprinkling the melted chocolate with some festive sprinkles before the chocolate drys. Store the pretzel bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.

Pretzels, rolo candy and a bag of chocolate chips are the only ingredients that you need. Square shaped pretzels work best for this recipe. Because the rolos fit easily onto them. The pretzel rolo bites only need to bake in the oven at a low temperature for about five minutes. You do not want to melt the chocolate, you just want it to soften. Place another pretzel on top of the candy to sandwich them together. Melt chocolate in the microwave until it is completely smooth. Dip only half of the pretzel bites into the chocolate and place them onto plates. Let the candy set in the fridge until the chocolate has set.

Rolo Pretzel Bites

Ingredients
  

  • small square pretzels
  • chocolate rolos
  • 1 ( 12 oz.) bag chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 250 F. Lay square shaped pretzels in a single layer onto a large ungreased baking sheet.
  • Place one rolo onto each pretzel. Bake for 5-6 minutes. Remove from oven and place one square pretzel on top of each rolo, pressing the chocolate down.
  • Melt chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl in 30 second intervals, stirring in between each one until it is fully melted. Dip half of the pretzels into the melted chocolate and set onto plates.
  • Refrigerate for 20-30 minutes, or until the chocolate has set. Store pretzel bites in an air tight container in the fridge for up to two weeks.
