Pepper Jack Green Bean Casserole

Creamy and cheesy green bean casserole with a spicy twist to a classic holiday favorite. This green bean casserole is made with diced jalapenos and pepper jack cheese, giving this casserole a spicy kick. You can make this casserole for Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner. Or as an easy cheesy side dish for any dinner. It only takes a few minutes to prep this easy and cheesy casserole.

To make this casserole, it is prepared similar to a classic green bean casserole. Except with the addition of diced jalapenos. The casserole is also topped with shredded pepper jack cheese before adding the crispy french fried onions on top. The green bean casserole is baked until the cheese has fully melted and the fried onions are crispy and lightly browned.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 ( 15 oz.) cans green beans, drained
  • 1 large jalapeno, diced
  • 1 ( 10 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded pepper jack cheese
  • 1 container french fried onions

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375 F. In a medium bowl, combine green beans with jalapeno, cream of mushroom soup, milk, and 1/2 of the french fried onions.
  • Spread mixture into a greased baking dish. Top with shredded pepper jack cheese and the remaining french fried onions. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
