Brussels Sprouts in a Blanket

Pigs in a blanket are a classic appetizer, but instead of using hot dogs, these are made with brussels sprouts instead. They make a fun and delicious vegetarian alternative to pigs in a blanket. They are so quick and easy to make, and are delicious for any occasion. You can make these for Thanksgiving or Christmas for your vegetarian guests. They will make a great addition to any meal or occasion. 

The brussels sprouts are first trimmed and the crescent rolls are separated into triangles and cut into thirds. Wrap each around a brussels sprout. Place onto a large greased baking sheet. Mix melted butter with salt and garlic powder, and brush the brussels sprouts in a blanket with the garlic butter. Bake until lightly brown.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound brussels sprouts, trimmed
  • 1 can crescent rolls
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400 F. Unroll crescent roll dough and slice in thirds. Wrap one brussels sprout in each crescent roll. Place onto a large greased baking sheet.
  • In a small bowl, combine melted butter, salt, and garlic powder. Brush mixture over wrapped brussels sprouts. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
