Cheesy pasta bake with meatballs covered with two types of cheese. It is quick and easy to prepare this pasta casserole. And it is freezer friendly, so you can prepare it ahead of time and have a delicious meal ready on the table in 30 minutes. Easy cheesy pasta topped with mozzarella and parmesan cheese, it is so quick and easy to make. Everyone will love this meal. Serve with garlic bread or a side salad for an easy family friendly meal.

I used rotini pasta for this casserole, but any small shaped pasta will work. Prepare the pasta according to the package directions and place it into a large bowl. I used frozen meatballs to save time in the dish, but you can also prepare your favorite recipe of meatballs as well. Fully cook the meatballs before adding to the casserole, and cut them in half to fit better. Mix the meatballs and marinara sauce with the cooked pasta and spread it out into a large greased baking dish. Sprinkle the pasta with both shredded mozzarella cheese and grated parmesan cheese. Bake until the cheeses have melted.

Ingredients
  

  • 16 oz. rotini pasta
  • 1 ( 10 oz.) bag frozen meatballs
  • 1 ( 28 oz.) jar marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella chese
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 F. Cook meatballs according to package directions, cut in half. Cook pasta according to package directions, drain and place into a large bowl.
  • Mix pasta with cooked halved meatballs and marinara sauce. Spread pasta out into a large greased baking dish. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese and grated parmesan cheese. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
