Creamy classic Hawaiian macaroni salad filled with celery and shredded carrots. It is so quick and easy to make this macaroni salad. Perfect for serving along side any summer meal. This macaroni salad would also be great served at a picnic, potluck or for Labor day. You only need a few ingredients to make this easy and delicious classic macaroni salad. You can easily make this dish ahead of time the day before you need it.

The pasta is first cooked according to the package directions, drain and mix the macaroni with the mayonnaise, onion, celery, and shredded carrots. Season with salt and pepper and cover the dish. Refrigerate for at least one hour before serving, or until you are ready to serve.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups elbow pasta
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 2 stalks celery, diced
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Cook pasta according to package directions, drain and place into a large bowl. Mix with the remaining ingredients. Cover and refrigerate until serving.
