Quick and easy spaghetti with garlic and cherry tomatoes is an easy dinner that is ready in less than 20 minutes. You need very few ingredients to make this meal, just pasta, olive oil, garlic, cherry tomatoes and dried basil. Instead of using spaghetti sauce for this pasta, cooked cherry tomatoes and olive oil are used. And seasoned with dried basil, this dish is a great vegetarian meal that is simple and quick to make. Serve with a side of salad or garlic bread for a healthy dinner.

The spaghetti will first need to boiled according to the package directions. While the pasta is cooking, in a saucepan, heat one tablespoon of the olive oil and cook the minced garlic until it is fragrant. Add the cherry tomatoes in and cook until the tomatoes start to burst. Mix the cherry tomato mixture with the pasta along with the remaining olive oil and dried basil.

Cherry Tomato Spaghetti

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound spaghetti noodles
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil

Instructions
 

  • Cook pasta according to package directions, drain and place spaghetti into a large bowl.
  • In medium saucepan over medium heat, heat 1 tablespoon olive oil. Cook garlic until fragrant. Add in cherry tomatoes, and let cook until tomatoes soften and start to burst.
  • Mix tomato garlic mixture with pasta along with the remaining 2 tablespoons olive oil and dried basil.
