Crispy baked chicken parmesan with a crispy Italian seasoned breadcrumb and parmesan crust. Topped with marinara sauce and cheesy mozzarella cheese. This chicken is so quick and easy to make, it is cheesy and delicious. Because it is baked, that means it uses less oil, making this chicken a great healthy meal for your family. Serve this chicken parmesan over spaghetti noodles with a side salad or spinach for a quick and easy weeknight meal.

Start by breading the chicken in the crispy parmesan breadcrumb mixture. First dip the chicken into a mixture of eggs and milk, then coat in a mixture of breadcrumbs, grated parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Bake the chicken until it is golden browned and the chicken is no longer pink. Evenly spread 2 tablespoons of marinara sauce on top of the chicken and sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese. Bake for another 5 minutes, or until the cheese has melted.

Baked Chicken Parmesan

Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds chicken breast
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 ( 28 oz.) jar marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400 F. In a shallow dish, whisk together egg and milk. In another shallow dish, combine breadcrumbs, grated parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning.
  • Coat chicken in the egg mixture, letting the excess drip off. Fully coat chicken into the breadcrumb mixture.
  • Place chicken onto a greased baking sheet. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Top each chicken with 2 tablespoons of marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese. Bake for another 5 minutes, until the cheese is melted.
