Taco Burgers

Juicy spicy burgers with all of the classic flavors of tacos. The burgers are spiced with salsa and taco seasoning, and given a little bit of crunch from the crushed tortilla chips. These burgers are baked in the oven until browned. Serve on hamburger buns topped with cheddar cheese and your favorite burger or taco toppings. Such as tomatoes or pico de gallo, or even avocado slices would work well with this burger.
The mixture for these hamburger patties are made by combining ground beef, salsa, taco seasoning and crushed tortilla chips. Form the mixture into four patties and flatten slightly. Place onto a large baking sheet and bake until the center is no longer pink and the burgers are lightly browned. You can also grill these burgers or cook them in a skillet until browned. Serve on hamburger buns with cheese and your favorite toppings.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1 ( 2 oz.) packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup crushed tortilla chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400 F. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, salsa, taco seasoning and tortilla chips. Form mixture into four equal sized patties.
  • Place onto a large greased baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes.
