Peanut Butter M&M Crinkle Cookies

Soft and chewy peanut butter cookies filled with chocolate m&ms, coated in powdered sugar and baked giving these cookies a crinkle look. The peanut butter and chocolate from the m&ms go perfectly together in this cookie. They are perfect for just about any occasion. They would make great Christmas cookies, you can even use Christmas-themed m&ms to make them more festive.

The dough for these cookies is a classic peanut butter cookie dough, with m&ms folded into the cookie dough. You can use either regular or peanut m&ms for these. The dough is rolled into balls, then rolled into a shallow dish of powdered sugar, and baked until the center comes out clean. Once they are baked, the powdered sugar should give the cookies a crinkle look. Let them cool on wire racks before serving.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup m&ms
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda. In another large bowl, combine butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
  • Add in egg and vanilla extract, mix until smooth. Add in the flour mixture, mix until a thick dough forms. Fold in the m&ms. Place powdered sugar into a shallow dish.
  • Roll the cookie dough into balls, and roll each one into the powdered sugar, coating it fully. Place the cookie dough onto a large ungreased baking sheet, at least 2-inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
