Quick and easy spicy garlic spaghetti with olive oil. This easy pasta is so easy to make with very few ingredients. It has tons of garlic flavor with some spice from the crushed red pepper flakes. All you need to make this simple meal is spaghetti pasta, olive oil, minced garlic and some seasonings. It is delicious and ready in less than 20 minutes. Serve with some garlic bread or a side salad for an easy meat free dinner.

This meal is easy to make, the pasta get cooked first according to the package. Reserve some of the pasta cooking water after you drain the pasta. For the olive oil and garlic mixture, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Cook minced garlic, salt, pepper and crushed red pepper flakes in the oil until the garlic is fragrant. Mix the cooked garlic mixture with the pasta along with the reserved water.

Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz. spaghetti pasta
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 8 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup reserved pasta water

Instructions
 

  • Cook pasta according to package directions, drain and reserve 1/2 cup pasta water. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, heat olive oil.
  • Cook minced garlic in oil along with salt, pepper and crushed red pepper flakes until fragrant. Mix with cook pasta and reserved water.
