Garlic Cheddar Mashed Potatoes

Creamy and cheesy garlic cheddar mashed potatoes, these easy creamy potatoes are filled with tons of delicious cheddar and garlic flavor. They are so easy to make, and make the perfect easy side dish to along with any meal. Everyone will love these cheesy alternative to classic mashed potatoes.

The potatoes are first peeled and diced, and cooked in boiling water until they are fork tender. Drain the potatoes, and mash them with the remaining ingredients. You can use either a potato masher or hand mixer to mash the potatoes until your desired consistency.

Garlic Cheddar Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds russet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Place potatoes into a large saucepan. Cover with water and bring to a boil over medium heat. Cook until the potatoes are fork tender. Drain and place into a large bowl.
  • Mash potatoes with butter, cheddar cheese, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
