French Fried Onion Carrot Casserole

Cheesy carrot casserole topped with crispy french fried onions. This easy casserole is similar to a green bean casserole, but instead of green beans, canned sliced carrots are used instead. This casserole is also topped with shredded cheese, and crispy french fried onions. It is great to make for any holiday dinner, like Easter or Thanksgiving.

The carrots are drained and mixed with a can of cream of mushrooms soup, salt, pepper, milk, and 1/2 of the fried onions. It is then topped with shredded cheddar cheese, and the remaining half of the fried onions. Bake until the cheese has completely melted and the fried onions are crispy.

French Fried Onion Carrot Casserole

Ingredients
  

  • 2 ( 14 oz.) cans sliced carrots, drained
  • 1 ( 10 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can french fried onions

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a greased round casserole dish, combine carrots with cream of mushroom soup, salt, pepper, and milk. Fold in 1/2 of the fried onions.
  • Top with shredded cheddar cheese and the remaining french fried onions. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
