Crock-Pot Sloppy Joes

Easy and tasty homemade sloppy joes with a delicious classic ketchup tomato sauce. Sloppy joes are a classic dinner for quick and easy meals, but these sloppy joes are made even easier. Cooked ground beef is mixed with all of the ingredients in a slow cooker, and the crock-pot does the rest of the work. Being made in the crock-pot, it cooks slow all day, and then by dinner serve on hamburger buns with a side of chips and a side salad for a quick and easy meal.

To start these sloppy joes, ground beef is first browned in a skillet before adding to the crock-pot. The beef is then mixed with all of the other ingredients, and cooked on low heat for 5-6 hours. Once the sloppy joes are done, serve over hamburger buns. You can also double or even triple this recipe, because the crock-pot makes it very easy to cook meals in bulk.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 ( 15 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

Instructions
 

  • Cook ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks, until it is no longer pink. Drain grease and place meat to a large crock-pot.
  • Add in the remaining ingredients, cover and let cook on low for 5-6 hours. Serve on hamburger buns.
