Meatloaf is a classic comfort food meal that many people will remember eating growing up. Meatloaf is usually made with ground beef, but it can also be made with other meats as well, such as ground pork or turkey. For this meatloaf, I made just a classic meatloaf that is made with ground beef and breadcrumbs. And has a sweet brown sugar and ketchup glaze on the top. This warm meatloaf is a classic to eat during the colder months served with mashed potatoes and corn or carrots. And they make for a great meatloaf sandwich with the leftovers.

For the base of this meatloaf, I am using all ground beef. The ground beef is mixed with breadcrumbs, milk, an egg, diced onion and some seasonings. To season the meatloaf, I chose to use a mixture of Italian seasonings like dried oregano, rosemary, sage and thyme. Along with salt, pepper, onion powder and garlic powder to the mixture. After the meatloaf mixture is fully combined and all of the ingredients are incorporated, press the mixture into a loaf pan. Bake the meatloaf for 30 minutes. In the meantime, in a small bowl, mix together the ketchup, brown sugar and mustard. Remove the meatloaf from the oven and spread the brown sugar ketchup glaze across the top of the meatloaf. Bake it for another 20 minutes, until the meatloaf is cooked through.  Let the meatloaf sit out at room temperature for at least 10 minutes so that it comes out of the pan easier.
