The super bowl is coming up, and what better way to watch the big game than with these tasty chocolate chip cookie dough football bites. Classic chocolate chip cookie dough made without egg, making it safe to eat. Shaped like mini footballs, and covered in melted chocolate with white chocolate laces. Makes these cookie dough bites a fun treat to enjoy while you watch the super bowl. These cookie dough bites taste just like chocolate chip cookie dough. They are a quick no-bake treat that you can make for your sports themed parties or just to enjoy while you are watching the game.

Making the cookie dough is similar to how you would make regular chocolate chip cookies, except for these there is no eggs. Softened butter is creamed with both granulated and brown sugars until it is creamy. Mix in milk and vanilla extract, beating until smooth. Beat in flour and salt until all of the mixture is incorporated and a thick dough forms. Using a spatula, gently fold in chocolate chips into the dough.

Roll the cookie dough into tablespoon sized ovals and place onto plates. Refrigerate the cookie dough until they are firm. Melt the chocolate candy coating according to the package directions, until it is smooth. Dip each chocolate chip football into the chocolate, covering it completely. Place the bites back onto plates and let the chocolate set. Melt the white chocolate candy coating according to package directions, until it is smooth. Place the chocolate into a piping bag and pipe laces onto the footballs. Let the chocolate set. Store the cookie dough bites in an airtight container in the fridge until serving, or for up to 2 weeks.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 ( 12 oz.) bag chocolate chips
  • 10 oz. chocolate candy coating
  • 2 oz. white chocolate candy coating

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl using either a hand or stand mixer, beat butter with both granulated sugar and brown sugar until fluffy.
  • Add in milk and vanilla extract, beat until smooth. Add in flour and salt, beat until the mixture is fully combined. Fold in chocolate chips with a spatula. Roll the cookie dough into small oval football shapes and place onto plates.
  • Refrigerate the cookie dough bites for at least 30 minutes. Melt the chocolate candy coating in the microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring in between each one until fully melted.
  • Dip each cookie dough bite into the melted chocolate and place back onto plates. Refrigerate for another 30 minutes, until the chocolate has set.
  • Melt the white chocolate candy coating in a microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring in between each one until fully smooth and melted.
  • Place the melted white chocolate into a piping bag. Pipe the chocolate onto the cookie dough bites to resemble football laces. Refrigerate until set. Store in an airtight container in the fridge.
