Creamy and delicious macaroni salad filled with barbecue sauce, celery, and cheese. This macaroni salad makes the perfect dish to take to a summer potluck or barbecue. Or to serve as a side dish with any summer dinner, like grilled chicken or hamburgers. It is quick and easy to make, and you can prepare this dish ahead of time and keep it in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve.

The pasta is first cooked according to package directions and rinsed with cold water to stop the cooking process. Mix the cooked pasta with mayo, barbecue sauce, celery, onion, salt, pepper, and shredded cheddar cheese. Either serve right away, or cover and refrigerate until you are ready to serve.

Ingredients
  

  • 16 oz. elbow pasta
  • 1 cup mayonnasie
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 stalks celery, diced
  • 1/2 cup red onion, diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions
 

  • Cook pasta according to package directions, drain and place into a large bowl. Mix with the remaining ingredients. Cover and refrigerate until serving.
