In a small bowl, place milk and heat in the microwave for one minute. Stir in honey and active dry yeast. Let sit for 10 minutes.
In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add in yeast mixture, melted butter, and egg. Mix until a dough forms. Knead on a floured surface until smooth.
Place dough into a large greased bowl. Cover and let rise for 1-2 hours. Preheat oven to 375 F. Deflate dough and divide in half.
Roll each half into a large rectangle on a floured surface. Cut into squares. Place onto a large greased baking sheet. Cover and let rise for another 30-60 minutes.
Bake for 12-15 minutes. For the honey butter, in a medium bowl, combine all of the ingredients until smooth. Brush over warm rolls.
