Homemade Chili

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 ( 28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 ( 14 oz.) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 ( 15 oz.) can kidney beans, drained
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Cook onion and minced garlic until softened and fragrant.
  • Add in ground beef and cook over medium heat, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks until it is no longer pink.
  • Add in crushed tomatoes, diced tomatoes along with the juices and drained kidney beans. Let simmer over medium heat for 10-15 minutes.
