Chocolate Chess Pie

Ingredients
  

  • 1 9-inch pie crust
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons cornmeal
  • 1 teaspoon all-purpose flour
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon white distilled vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 F. Roll out pie crust and fit into a round 9-inch pie plate.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together sugar, cocoa powder, salt, cornmeal and flour. Add in eggs, milk, melted butter, vinegar and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth.
  • Pour mixture into the prepared pie crust. Bake for 50-55 minutes. Let cool completely.
