Easy tender slightly spicy garlic green beans ready in less than 15 minutes. These green beans are a quick and easy side dish that pairs well with any meal. Fresh green beans cooked along with minced garlic and red pepper flakes in a skillet until tender. These green beans are naturally vegan and gluten-free, making them the perfect side dish for everyone.

Fresh green beans are used, but first the ends need to be trimmed off. Heat olive oil in a large skillet and cook the green beans along with minced garlic, salt, pepper and red pepper flakes. You can use any other seasonings that you would like, such as dried herbs like dried oregano and dried basil. The red pepper flakes give these green beans a slightly spicy taste, but you can leave it out if you would like. Cook the green beans over medium heat, until they are tender and lightly browned.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions
 

  • Trim the ends off of the green beans. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add green beans to skillet along with minced garlic, salt, pepper and red pepper flakes. Cook green beans for 10-15 minutes, until tender and lightly browned.
