Reese’s Pieces Snickerdoodle Cookies

Soft and chewy snickerdoodle cookies filled with tons of peanut butter flavor from peanut butter mixed into the dough, and Reese’s pieces candy mixed throughout the cookies. They are mix of a chewy peanut butter cookie and a delicious snickerdoodle cookie. They are rolled into a cinnamon and sugar mixture before baking to give these cookies the classic snickerdoodle flavor.

The dough for these cookies is started like a classic peanut butter cookie dough, with the addition of cream of tartar to give them that classic snickerdoodle flavor. Reese’s pieces are folded into the cookie dough, and the cookie dough is rolled into balls. Mix cinnamon and sugar together in a shallow dish. Roll the cookie dough into the cinnamon sugar mixture. Place onto a large baking sheet, and bake until the center comes out clean. Let cool on a cooling rack completely before serving.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Reese's pieces
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, baking soda, and cream of tartar. In another large bowl, combine butter, peanut butter, and both sugars until fluffy.
  • Add in egg and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth. Add in the flour mixture, mix until it is fully combined. Fold in the Reese's pieces.
  • Combine sugar and cinnamon in another shallow dish. Roll the cookie dough into balls, and roll each ball into the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  • Place the cookies onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
