Before the asparagus is roasted, the ends need to be trimmed off. Then you can mix the asparagus with the rest of the ingredients in a baking dish. Olive oil, grated parmesan cheese, minced garlic, salt and pepper are mixed with the asparagus. Then oven roasted until the asparagus is crispy and tender. This quick simple side dish is ready in less than 30 minutes for an easy weeknight side dish.
Parmesan Roasted Asparagus
Ingredients
- 2 pounds asparagus, trimmed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 F. Trim the ends off of the asparagus and place asparagus into a large baking dish.
- Mix the asparagus with olive oil, grated parmesan cheese, minced garlic, salt and pepper. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
