No-Bake Peanut Butter M&M Bars

Quick and easy no-bake peanut butter bars filled with M&Ms. The dough for the peanut butter bars is like the dough for peanut butter balls. But instead of balls, they are pressed into a baking dish, and covered with melted chocolate. You only need five simple ingredients to make these no-bake peanut butter bars. They are perfect for days that you want to enjoy a sweet treat, but do not want turn on the oven.

The peanut butter dough is made by mixing butter with peanut butter and powdered sugar until a thick dough forms. chocolate M&M candy is folded into the peanut butter dough. Press the peanut butter dough into an 8-inch square baking dish. Refrigerate the dough for at least 20 minutes before adding the chocolate. Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each interval until it is fully melted and smooth. Pour the melted chocolate evenly over the peanut butter bars. Refrigerate for another 20 minutes, or until the chocolate has fully set. Cut into bars and serve.

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup m&ms
  • 12 oz. chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, combine butter with peanut butter and powdered sugar and mix until it is fully combined.
  • Fold in M&Ms. Press the peanut butter dough into a square baking dish. Refrigerate for at least 20 minutes.
  • Place the chocolate chips into a microwave-safe bowl, and heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each until it is fully melted and smooth.
  • Evenly pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter bars. Refrigerate for another 20 minutes. Cut into bars.
