Cheesy and flaky homemade biscuits filled with jalapeno and cheddar cheese. They are spicy with cheesy, a great alternative to your classic biscuits. The jalapenos give a deliciously spicy kick that is perfect for a dinner biscuit, or even as a breakfast served with eggs. These biscuits make the perfect addition to any meal, such as a bowl of chili or soup.Â
To make the biscuits, it is similar to making classic biscuit dough, except for the addition of diced jalapenos, and shredded cheddar cheese. The cheese and jalapenos are cut into the biscuit mixture along with the cold cubed butter. You can either use a pastry blender, or two knives to cut the ingredients in until they are crumbly and resemble coarse crumbs. Pat the dough out onto a floured surface and cut out biscuits. Place onto a large greased baking sheet and bake until the tops are lightly golden brown.Â
