Homemade Peanut Butter Oreo Cookies

Easy soft and chewy chocolate cookies made with a box of chocolate cake mix and filled with a creamy and delicious peanut butter frosting. Everyone will love these easy soft baked homemade Oreo cookies. The peanut butter and chocolate flavors go together perfectly.

The cookie dough is easy to make, cake mix is mixed with eggs and vegetable oil then baked on a baking sheet until cooked through. Let cool completely before frosting. Make the frosting by mixing all of the ingredients together until smooth. Spread frosting onto half of the cookies, then sandwich with the remaining half of cookies.

Homemade Peanut Butter Oreo Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ( 15 oz.) box chocolate cake mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 3-4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a large bowl, mix together cake mix, eggs, and vegetable oil until smooth. Use a cookie scoop to place the cookies onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, mix together butter, peanut butter, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Spread frosting onto half of the cooled cookies. Sandwich with the remaining cookies.
