Warm and fluffy homemade bread to serve with hamburgers or your favorite sandwiches. These homemade hamburger buns are so easy to make when you want a juicy hamburger, but forgot the hamburger buns. The bread is fluffy and buttery. You can even make this bread as rolls instead of hamburger buns. These buns make a great alternative to store bought hamburger buns that will make you hamburgers and sandwiches so much better.
These hamburger buns are made with a classic fluffy yeast dough. Active dry yeast first needs to be activated in warm water. Flour and salt are combined together in a large bowl and mixed with the activated yeast mixture and melted butter. Knead the dough on a floured surface until it is smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl and let it rise in a warm place until the dough has doubled in size. Once the dough has risen, deflate the dough and divide into 8 large balls, flatten them slightly and place onto a large baking sheet. Let the hamburger buns rise again for another 30 minutes. Just before you bake them, brush with more melted butter to make them brown when they are baked. Bake until the bread are lightly golden browned.
