Taco salad is a quick and easy meal that is made even better with the addition of cheesy dorito chips. The salad is creamy with catalina dressing mixed through out the salad. Taco meat is mixed with all of what you would usually top on tacos. Then the salad dressing is tosses with salad before the cheese dorito chips are added to the salad. You can easily make this meal ahead of time, although it would be best to add the chips in just before serving so that they do not get soggy.

The taco meat is made just as you would for tacos. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet, breaking it up as it cooks until the meat is no longer pink. Drain the grease and season it with taco seasoning and hot sauce. The taco meat mixture is mixed with lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. You can also add in a can of beans or corn if you would like. Pour the catalina dressing into the taco salad and mix to fully coat. Fold the crushed cheese doritos into the salad just before serving. You can also add the chips into each individual salad to keep the chips from getting soggy.
