Homemade Chocolate Pudding

Classic creamy homemade chocolate pudding is so quick and easy to make. You can have this pudding cooked in less than 20 minutes. It makes a great dessert or snack that the whole family will love. It is so simple to make with just a few easy ingredients. All of the ingredients are cooked until the pudding is thickened and creamy. Store this pudding in the fridge until you are ready to serve.

Cocoa powder is whisked with cornstarch and granulated sugar in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in milk and cook the mixture over medium heat until the pudding is thickened and smooth. Remove the pudding from heat and stir in the butter and vanilla extract, stir until the butter has fully melted. Pour into a bowl and let cool. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until serving.

  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, whisk cocoa powder, cornstarch, sugar, and milk together. Bring to a boil, boil until the pudding has thickened.
  • Remove from heat, stir in butter and vanilla extract. Pout into a bowl, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until serving.
