This popcorn is sweet and salty, with a homemade caramel sauce is so easy to make. For the popcorn, you can a bag of microwave popcorn, or you can use a bag of air-popped popcorn instead. Spread the popped popcorn into a baking dish. To make the homemade caramel sauce, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat, add in brown sugar, baking soda, and vanilla extract. Bring the mixture to a boil, and simmer until a thick syrup forms. Fully coat the popcorn with the caramel and let set.

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Spread popped popcorn out into a large baking dish. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Add in brown sugar, baking soda, and vanilla extract.
  • Let mixture simmer for a few minutes. Pour caramel sauce over popcorn, coating it evenly. Let sit until set.
