Grissini bread sticks are a crispy thin bread stick that is usually served at Italian restaurants. Instead of being fluffy bread, these bread sticks are a more crispy delicious appetizer or side dish. The dough is made with a traditional yeast dough, which means that it will need a little bit of time to rise. You can also top these bread sticks with seasonings such as sesame seeds or poppy seeds. Or you could just leave these bread sticks plain, and they will still taste great. Serve as a tasty appetizer to along side pasta or another Italian style meal.

To make the bread dough, it is prepared similar to making pizza dough. Except for this dough less yeast is used, making the dough rise less than usual. After the dough is mixed and kneaded, place it into a greased bowl and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours until the dough has doubled in size. Once the dough has doubled in size, divide it into small pieces. And roll each into a long thin stick and place onto a large greased baking sheet. Let them rise for another 30 minutes. Bake until the bread is lightly golden browned and crispy.
