The crock-pot is perfect for making casseroles in. Because all that you need to do is dump all of the ingredients that you want in your casserole into a crock-pot and let it cook all day. Then by the time that you are ready to eat dinner, you will have a warm comforting casserole all ready in the crock-pot. For this casserole, smoked sausage links are cooked with frozen shredded hashbrowns. All covered in a cream of chicken soup mixture and topped with shredded cheddar cheese. This casserole is warm and perfect for a cold day with very little prep work involved.

Use your favorite smoked sausage for this, slice into into small rounds and place them into the bottom of a greased crock-pot. Add in frozen shredded hashbrowns, along with diced onion. Pour in one can of cream of chicken soup, milk and 1 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese. Mix all of the ingredients together in the crock-pot until they are evenly combined. Top the casserole with the remaining cup of shredded cheddar cheese and cover the crock-pot with the lid. Let it cook on low heat for 6 hours, or on high heat for 3-4 hours.

Ingredients
  

  • 14 oz. smoked sausage links
  • 1 ( 32 oz.) bag frozen hashbrowns
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1 ( 14 oz.) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions
 

  • Place all of the ingredients into the crock pot, except for one cup of shredded cheese. Mix the ingredients together.
  • Top with the remaining cup of cheese, cover and let cook on low for 6 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours.
