Crock-Pot Chicken Drumsticks

Easy tender and juicy chicken drumsticks seasoned with barbecue rub and covered with barbecue sauce. All cooked slowly in the crock-pot all day, until tender. The chicken is seasoned with spices like brown sugar and paprika to give the chicken a barbecue flavor. The prep work for these drumsticks is so quick and simple. It takes less than 5 minutes to put everything together in the crock-pot. Then the crock-pot does the rest of the work, it cooks slowly all day, until you are ready to eat dinner. Serve with your favorite summer side dishes, like potato salad or corn on the cob.

The seasoning mixture for these drumsticks is made by combining brown sugar, salt, pepper, paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder. The mixture is sprinkled evenly over each drumstick and placed into a large greased crock-pot. Cover with barbecue sauce and cover. Let cook over low heat for 6-8 hours, or until the chicken is fully cooked through.

  • 1 pound chicken drumsticks
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, combine seasonings. Place chicken drumsticks in a large greased crock-pot. Sprinkle evenly with the seasoning mixture. Pour barbecue sauce over chicken.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
