Cookies and Cream Sheet Cake

Soft and fluffy homemade vanilla sheet cake, filled with crushed chocolate Oreo cookies. This easy sheet cake is topped with a creamy and delicious cookies and cream buttercream frosting. Everyone will love this easy cake to bake for just about any occasion.

The cake batter is made by mixing all of the ingredients together in a large bowl. Then fold crushed Oreo cookies into the batter. Pour into a large greased baking dish. Bake until the center of the cake comes out clean with a toothpick. Let cool completely before frosting. For the frosting, all of the ingredients are mixed together in a large bowl until smooth. More crushed Oreo cookies are folded into the frosting. Evenly frost the cooled cake. Store in the fridge until serving.

Cookies and Cream Sheet Cake

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup crushed Oreo cookies

Ingredients for Cookies and Cream Buttercream Frosting

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3-4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2-4 tablespoons milk
  • 2 tablespoons crushed Oreo cookies

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, salt, baking soda, and baking powder. Add in the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract, mix until smooth.
  • Fold in the crushed Oreo cookies. Pour the cake batter into a greased baking dish. Bake for 40-45 minutes. Let cool completely.
  • For the frosting, in a large bowl, mix butter with powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until combined. Fold in the crushed Oreo cookies.
  • Frost cake with the frosting.
