- 2 9-inch pie crusts
- 6 cups sliced apples
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 F. Unroll one of the pie crusts and fit into a 9-inch pie plate. In a large bowl, combine apple slices, sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and vanilla extract.
- Place apple pie filling into pie crust. Roll out the remaining pie crust and place it on top of the apple pie filling. Make four slits at the top of the pie. Bake for 40-45 minutes.
