The cookie dough is made like a classic shortbread cookie dough, then cherry juice and dried cherries are added into the cookie dough. Roll the cookie dough into balls and place them onto a large ungreased baking sheet. Bake until the bottoms of the cookies are lightly browned. After they have baked, roll each cookie into a shallow dish of powdered sugar. Let cool completely before serving.

Ingredients
- 1/21/ cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons cherry juice
- 1/2 cup dried cherries
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a large bowl, combine butter with powdered sugar until fluffy. Add in vanilla extract and mix until smooth. Add in the flour and mix until it is fully combined.
- Add in cherry juice and fold in dried cherries. Roll the cookie dough into balls and place the cookies onto a large ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Place the remaining 1/2 cup powdered sugar into a shallow dish. Roll the baked cookies into the powdered sugar.
