Crispy and delicious baked asparagus coated in breading of breadcrumbs, and grated parmesan cheese. These asparagus fries make a delicious side dish to any main meal, or as a healthy alternative to french fries, to go along with burgers. You only need five simple ingredients to make this dish. The asparagus is crispy and delicious, perfect for any meal.

The only ingredients that you need to make these are fresh asparagus, egg, milk, breadcrumbs, and grated parmesan cheese. Egg and milk are combined in a shallow dish, then breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese are combined in another shallow dish. Each asparagus is first dipped into the egg and milk mixture, then coated fully in the breadcrumb mixture. Place asparagus in a single layer onto a large greased baking sheet. Bake until the asparagus is crispy and lightly browned.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400 F. In a shallow dish, combine egg and milk. In another shallow dish, combine breadcrumbs, and parmesan cheese.
  • First dip each asparagus into the egg mixture, then fully coat in the breadcrumb mixture. Place each asparagus in a single layer onto a large greased baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
