Air-Fryer Pretzel Bites

Fluffy and delicious homemade pretzel bites, cooked in the air-fryer. These homemade pretzel bites are made more crispy baking cooking them in the air-fryer instead of baking. They are perfect to serve as a appetizer for a game day party, or as a tasty snack that everyone will love. Serve warm with mustard or your favorite dipping sauce.

The dough for these pretzel bites is made with a classic yeast dough, it will need to rise once before cooking in the air-fryer. The dough is formed into small pretzel bites and boiled in a baking soda and water mixture for a few seconds to give them the traditional pretzel taste. Sprinkle salt onto the pretzel bites and cook them in batches in the air-fryer until the tops are lightly golden browned.

Air-Fryer Pretzel Bites

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cups warm water
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 4 cups water
  • 1/4 cup baking soda
  • salt

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 10 minutes. In another large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add in melted butter and yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  • Knead on a floured surface until smooth. Place dough into a large greased bowl, turning to coat. Cover and let rise for 1-2 hours.
  • Deflate dough, divide into small balls. Preheat air-fryer to 350 F. In a large saucepan over medium heat, bring water and baking soda to a simmer. Place pretzel bites in batches in water, boil for 20 seconds. Remove from water and set aside.
  • Sprinkle with salt. Air-Fry in batches for 5-6 minutes.
