Air-Fryer Pepper Jack Cheese Sticks

Sharing is caring!

Cheesy and slightly spicy cheese sticks made with pepper jack cheese. These cheese sticks are crispy and cheesy, without being fried in a bunch of oil. Instead of deep frying these cheese sticks, they are cooked in the air-fryer until crispy. Even without the oil, these cheese sticks still have a delicious crispy coating. They make a great appetizer for any meal, or to serve for a game day served with ranch dressing or marinara sauce.

You only need five simple ingredients to make these cheese sticks. Instead of the traditional mozzarella used for cheese sticks, pepper jack cheese is used instead, giving them a slightly spicy flavor. Eggs and milk are whisked together in a shallow dish, flour is placed into another, and breadcrumbs are placed in a separate dish. Coat each cheese stick, with the egg, then flour, egg again, and fully coat in breadcrumbs. Freeze the cheese sticks for at least one hour before air-frying. Freezing them will help the cheese not melt when cooking. Air-fry the cheese sticks in batches until the breading is crispy.
