Crispy and delicious homemade french fries made without deep frying in a bunch of oil. These homemade crispy french fries are cooked in the air fryer, resulting in crispy and delicious french fries. These fries go great as a side dish to serve alongside some homemade burgers or hot dogs. You can easily reheat these fries the next day in the oven or in the air-fryer.

There is no need to peel your potatoes before air-frying. Cut them into fries to your prefered thickness, you can make them thinner or more like potato wedges. For thicker cut fries, you may need to cook them for longer. Place your cut potatoes into a large bowl and cover with water and let soak for at least one hour. Drain potatoes and pat dry with paper towels. Place potatoes into a large bowl and mix with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Place fries in a single layer in the air-fryer basket, air-fry for 12-15 minutes per batch.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 large russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Cut potatoes into french fries, place into a large bowl and cover with water. Cover and let soak for at least one hour.
  • Preheat air-fryer to 400 F. Drain fries and pat dry with paper towels. In a large bowl, mix potatoes with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Air-fry potatoes in batches for 12-15 minutes.
