Crock-Pot Grits

Sharing is caring!

Grits are a classic southern dish that is perfect for breakfast, brunch, or as a delicious side dish to any main meal. These grits are cooked slowly in the crock-pot and mixed with cheddar cheese and butter. Only five ingredients are needed to make these grits. Just grits, water, salt, cheddar cheese, and butter. You can serve this easy southern dish with a side of bacon for brunch or as a cheesy side dish to go along with chicken or pork.

There is no cooking needed to make these easy grits because everything cooks together in the crock-pot. The grits along with water and salt are all added to a crock-pot and cooked until the grits have absorbed the water. Stir in shredded cheddar cheese and butter. You can also add in any other ingredients at this point, such as bacon. Let all of the ingredients heat through and the cheese melt and serve.
