The cookie dough is started like a classic shortbread cookie dough, then chocolate M&M candy is folded into the cookie dough. Roll the cookies into balls, and place onto a large baking sheet. Bake until the bottoms of the cookies are lightly browned. Once the cookies are baked, roll each cookie into a dish of powdered sugar. Let them cool completely on a cooling rack before serving.
M&M Snowball Cookies
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup M&Ms
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a large bowl, combine butter with powdered sugar until fluffy. Add in flour and vanilla extract, and mix until it is fully combined.
- Fold in the M&Ms. Roll the cookie dough into balls, and place them onto a large ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Place the powdered sugar into a shallow dish. Roll the baked cookies into the powdered sugar.
