Reindeer Cupcakes

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Ingredients for Chocolate Buttercream Frosting
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2-3 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • M&Ms
  • Pretzel sticks

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Line a 12 cup cupcake pan with cupcake liners. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Add in eggs, milk, vegetable oil and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth.
  2. Evenly divide the cupcake batter between the prepared cupcake pan. Bake for 15-18 minutes. Let cool completely. For the chocolate buttercream frosting, in a large bowl using a hand mixer, beat softened butter with powdered sugar, milk, vanilla extract and cocoa powder until creamy.
  3. Frost cupcakes and decorate with the m&ms and pretzel sticks.
