  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • marshmallow peeps

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, combine butter with sugar until fluffy. Add in the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.
  2. Add in the flour mixture, mix until it is fully combined. Evenly press the cookie dough into a greased 8-inch square baking dish. Place peeps in a single layer onto the cookie bars. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
