In a large bowl, using a mixer, beat softened butter with peanut butter until creamy. Add in vanilla extract and powdered sugar, beat until a thick dough forms.
Form mixture into egg shapes and place onto plates. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. Melt chocolate candy melts in the microwave according to package directions, until fully melted and smooth.
Fully coat each peanut butter egg into the melted chocolate. Place back onto plates. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or until the chocolate has fully set.
