In a large bowl, using a mixer, beat softened butter with corn syrup, vanilla extract and milk until smooth. Add in powdered sugar, beating until a thick dough forms.
Divide 1/3 of the mixture into another bowl. Mix with yellow food coloring. Form mixture into small balls and set onto a plate. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Divide remaining mixture into smaller pieces. Wrap each around each piece of the yellow mixture, forming an egg shape. Set onto plates and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Melt candy coating according to package directions, stirring until fully melted and smooth. Dip each egg into the melted chocolate, place onto plates. Let chocolate set.
