Grinch Snickerdoodle Cookies

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • green food coloring
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • heart sprinkles

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, mix together butter and sugar until fluffy. Add in egg and vanilla extract and mix until smooth. Add in the flour mixture, and mix until it is fully combined.
  2. Stir in the green food coloring. In a shallow dish, combine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Roll the cookies into balls and roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture and place onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart.
  3. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Remove from the oven and top each cookie with a heart sprinkle.
