- Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a large bowl, combine softened butter with 1/2 cup powdered sugar. Mix until fluffy. Add in molasses and vanilla extract, mix until smooth.
- Add in flour, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves. Mix until all of the flour is incorporated. Roll the cookie dough into balls, and place onto a large ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Place the remaining 1/2 cup powdered sugar into a shallow dish. Roll the baked cookies in the powdered sugar.
