Gingerbread Cookie Cups

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • candy cane kisses

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves. In a large bowl, combine softened butter with granulated sugar, brown sugar, and molasses. Mix until fluffy.
  2. Add in egg and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth. Add in the flour mixture, and mix until a thick dough forms.
  3. Roll the cookie dough into balls, and place each ball into a greased muffin tin. Bake for 15-20 minutes. Remove from the oven and place one candy cane kiss on each cup. Let cool completely.
