Fourth of July Snickerdoodle Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup fourth of July sprinkles
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, mix together butter with sugar until fluffy. Add in the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.
  2. Add in the flour mixture, mix until it is fully combined. Fold in the sprinkles. In a shallow dish, combine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
  3. Roll the cookie dough into balls, and place them onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
